Long ago (like, 2012) I realized I needed to do something with my life. I decided I wanted to open a tea shop. I was out of college for a year, and getting started with digital consulting. I didn't know when I'd be able to get started with tea, but I was young and somewhat dewy-eyed.

I stuck with digital marketing, and I'd like to think I was good at it. Social media, blogging, advertising, and email marketing for small businesses soon turned into the same for political campaigns. And then non-profits. And then trade associations. Then political campaigns again.

I saw the world change in many ways and all the while I saw behind a keyboard and tried to pull whatever strings I could to nudge it into a better place.

John McConnell started the Vermont Liberty Tea Company in 2000, and his retirement meant the business, one I've been able to appreciate for many years, was for sale.

Now as the new steward of this very well respected business, I hope I can live up to John's legacy and bring the Vermont Liberty Tea Company into a new era.

So far, it's looking up. You guys really, really like Cream Earl Grey. I'm not complaining.

In fact you guys should go buy some literally right now. From now through October 31st, get 10% off Cream Earl Grey and Yorkshire Harrogate using code NEWSITE2017 -- these are our most popular teas, and it's our mission to get it in front of as many people as we can.
